Announcing Ms. ANNISTON BOWEN !!!

A friend of mine had her baby back on August 6. A beautiful little girl !!

A few weeks ago, I attended her baby shower and let me tell you, I have never seen anything like it. My friend, Denise, is suppose to be getting pictures for me of the baby, SLEEPING IN A LIFE-SIZED MOON......and as soon as I get those, I will post them. It was one of the most beautiful things I have EVER seen.

So -- this past Saturday, I got to see the baby and actually HOLD her !! It was kind of difficult for anyone to hold her the day of the shower because she had on a BEAUTIFUL gown that hung way down below her feet (like in the old-time pictures) and she was being displayed in the MOON in the front of the room on a plush pillow that had been monogrammed with her name on it.............I hope you are getting a good word picture of this scene....it was gorgeous !

We all met up at Starbucks (imagine that...) this past Saturday for a little cuddling and kissing !! SHE IS ADORABLE !! She is only about 7-8 weeks old, but she is so GROWN already !! She does not like to lay down, and she is happy to hold her own head up and look around to see everyone. She also smiles, talks to you AND laughs OUT LOUD !!!

I can't wait to hold her again !!!

Whew....What's Goin On ??

So, it has been a while since I posted anything exciting that has been happening. That is partly because we have been VERY busy working and very little playing !! BUT, if you know me and Dwayne, you know we are HAPPIEST when we are BUSY BUSY BUSY and when business is exploding !!

So -- I thought I would let everyone in on exactly WHAT'S GOIN ON with Dwayne Walker Homes these days.

Dwayne has 19 ---- COUNT THEM ---- 19 Listings at the present time and he has 4 more in the hopper that have already been signed, but not processed. SO -- that is a total count of 23 LISTINGS !!! AND, he has been on 2 or 3 listing appointments this week...quite honestly, I have lost count.

His listings range from $113,000 to $399,000 on the residential side, although the 4 new ones in processing are all in excess of $399,000. Then, on the commercial side, he has a listing of $2.25 million...that is RIGHT ladies and gentlemen....I said MILLION....

If any of you are interested in purchasing that listing, we are interested in letting you purchase it !!! Just let us know when you would like to put your earnest money deposit down. We are accepting offers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week !!

So -- as you can see, we do not have a minute to rest !! When we are not out showing houses, Dwayne is whealing and dealing on that cell phone of his. And, those of you that have witnessed him in action .... know he is a DEALER !!!

Quite honestly, these days, I come to my REGULAR job to REST !!!

Tammy is still doing a great job and she is learning how to be a "MINI-ME" of Dwayne. As a matter of a fact, she told me she was over at the mall on Tuesday passing out cards to anyone and everyone that was unlucky enough to make eye contact with her. I am sure after she terrorized the food court, they were glad to see her pack up her business cards and GO !!!

An Evening Out With Friends

Last night, we went out to the square in Decatur for dinner and some fun with friends. We met Lisa & Tom Carr, Daphne & Jim Platford and Sherri & Donnie Brown.

We went to a place called "Brick Store Pub". This is a really unique hangout that has been fashioned after the old pubs in Europe and they have just opened a really neat BELGIUM pub upstairs. Dwayne loves this place....and had quite a FABULOUS time !!

We all had the best time !! It was great to see everyone again and catch up !! I can't wait until next time !! Who is in ??? Let's just do it again .... sooner rather than later !!

Introducing....The New Ms. CARLI !!

OK -- so -- here she is -- finally !! These are pictures of my CARLI !!!

By way of background....Since we purchased the BMW because of "practical" needs, the only name I could figure out that could be spelled out of the letters in the word PRACTICAL (that I thought was "fancy" enough) was CARLI ..... So, Ms. Carli has been born !!

What is quite funny is...my niece is named CARLEY....I am quite sure she is proud !!

BUT -- just to give you an update.....THE CAR IS AWESOME !! I love it.

For those of you that like to keep track of my car's names....I had originally just decided to call this one BETTY too....but I have been informed that I am much too creative and that this car deserves some originality....so....with that in mind, I am preparing a birth certificate now....Stay tuned to find out her NEW name......I sure hope it will live up to your expectations...........

OK -- the wait is over !! The new BETTY ..... has arrived !!

It is a bouncing Baby BMW 325i in Titanium Silver with Gray Leather Interior !! Now...you do not get any more "practical" than this .... and it is very luxurious !!

I am loving it already and I have only got to drive it to dinner so far !! Tomorrow will be the first commute !! I am actually looking forward to it !!! Anyone that would like to have a ride, just come on over !!!

Mr. Walker is adjusting pretty well. Although....I did have to assist him earlier tonight....I found him in the basement under the stairs rolled up in the fetal position clutching a picture of MAGGIE......

An Evening with Beauty & The Beast

Oooppsss....I meant an evening AT Beauty & The Beast...he he !!

Tonight we took Travis & Carley to the Fox Theatre here in Atlanta to see the Atlanta Broadway Series production of Beauty & The Beast. IT WAS PHENOMENAL !! I am not sure who enjoyed it more....me and Uncle Dwayne or Travis & Carley. We all had a GREAT time and Dwayne and I thoroughly enjoyed spending the evening with Travis & Carley !!

Travis & Carley met me and Uncle Dwayne at our house and we went straight to dinner at MAX LAGER in downtown Atlanta where we munched on chicken wings, chicken fingers, fried shrimp, burgers and french fries. Once we finished dinner, we headed straight over to the Fox Theatre for the show.

Once in the theatre we munched on popcorn, chocolate candy and cokes !! WHAT AN EVENING !! It was fun !!

Oh -- and Travis has discovered all the BEAUTIFUL women of Atlanta. More than a few times I had to tell him to put his eyes back into his head !! AND -- we also discovered that Carley is the COVINGTON REDNECK !! She was more than happy to holler and scream during the production when she enjoyed a particular scene ..... TAMMY -- you have to get these kids out more !! Don't worry .... I am on the job .... and they are still young. I am sure I will be able to get this ship turned around !! (Just kidding Mom....don't give me a call....)

Well, it is official...we (ok....I) have decided to sell the 350Z so I can get something more "practical" to drive to and from work every day.

Mr. Walker thinks that my new word "practical" just STINKS.....he has been threatening me all weekend to trade ME in on a NEWER "less practical" model....

Mr. Walker is in deep mourning......you guys will all need to give him a call and comfort him ..... if that is possible .....

I am not sure he will ever forgive me for not wanting to keep Miss Maggie !!!

So -- let's all take a moment and remember ...... MS. MAGGIE in all her glory !!

Today is David & Joan's 11th Anniversary !! CONGRATULATIONS GUYS !!

David was out of town for work, so me, Dwayne and Donnie spent Joan's anniversary with her. We couldn't let our girl spend her anniversary all alone !!! But, we sure did miss David !!

Happy Anniversary guys -- We love you very much !!

Another One In The Record Books

Well, SOEFEST is officially over. The last of the guests left this morning. We were sad to see them go, but now I can regain my house and whip Mr. Walker back into shape !! I always allow him to forget his manners and generally be slouchy and slumpy while his friends are here. After all - we would hate for any of them to actually think he minds me.....

This year was a lot of fun. We had a very large group of guys come into town and it was a really good time. I think Dwayne is already looking forward to next year !!

FALCONS FOOTBALL !!!

Joan is the BEST !! She was able to offer the boys 4 tickets to FALCONS pre-season football. From what I hear they were GREAT seats !! 50 yard line and 14 rows from the field. They had a fabulous time even though the home team lost. BETTER LUCK NEXT GAME.
