$36 Dollars Later ..... Now What ???

So -- Nick came home on Monday and informed me that "WE" have a science project that will be due soon.

The following was the conversation that ensued after his announcement of our task:

Paige: That is great, what is YOUR science project about?
Nick: Well, WE are going to make a Volcano Cake.
Paige: A Volcano Cake?? Do you know how to make one of those?
Nick: NO -- but, YOU can Google it ... and find out how to do it. The teacher said there are some things online that you can look at.
Paige: Ok, well, I am so glad that I can do that for ME ... SO -- when is MY science project due?
Nick: Ummm.....Thursday or Friday .... well, maybe Monday.
Paige: Well -- as long as you are sure .... Do you have an instruction sheet from the teacher?
Nick: No - she didn't give us anything, she just told us we have to do it.

So .... we continued to banter back and forth ..... and absolutely no further information was gleaned from the conversation .... well, let me re-phrase that .... no USEFUL information was gleaned from the conversation.

Fast forward one day to Tuesday ..... Still no further information about the MOVING TARGET DUE DATE ...

Moving Right Along ... we arrive at Wednesday night ..... Suddenly -- we have a date!!!

Our project is due FRIDAY ..... As in not tomorrow, but the next day ------ Well Now, that doesn't leave much time ......

That means that WE (also known as "I") had to make it to the grocery store TODAY during the day so that WE (most likely "I") can prepare the masterpiece VOLCANO this evening ....

So .... here we are in REAL TIME ...... $36 dollars worth of "supplies" later ...... WHAT THE HECK DO WE DO NOW ?????
