Our New Friends Bob & Linda

WHEW!! We didn't think it would ever get here, but here we are. This morning (or should I say last night) me, Mr. Walker, Heather & Bryan all loaded up in the Hummer and left Atlanta bound for Tampa, Florida.

We all had our own responsibilities on the trip ...... Mr. Walker was our driver .... Foxy (aka Heather) was in charge of ALL entertainment and conversation. She was a CHAMP at keeping Mr. Walker awake ALL NIGHT LONG. Manimal (aka Bryan) was in charge sharing the backseat with yours truly and he soon discovered that he was very adept at sleeping the entire way. Upon this discover, my role of sleeper was transitioned to one of making sure Bryan's 100 lb leg stayed stretched across the entire seat and never fell off into the floor. I did this by staying awake and holding his leg up on the seat ..... No need to work out my right bicep or tricep for a few days.

Anyway -- our ultimate reason for this road trip (other than Foxy and Mr. Walker learning a new song in the middle of the night) was to ultimately board Carnival's luxury ship The Legend for a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean this coming Sunday, BUT FIRST -- WE MADE A PIT STOP !!

OK -- see, Bryan participates in a little sport called "Team Penning" (horses, cows, arenas, dirt, usually rain, etc.) and during such activities, from time to time he actually runs across people who think of him as a "friend" ...... And so, our adventure begins.

Bryan and Heather invited us to go visit their team penning friends Bob & Linda in Tampa before our cruise began. What a TREAT!!

Bob & Linda really rolled out the red carpet and we had a wonderful time. We went boating, explored sand bars, had several lovely meals and had a GREAT time in general !!! WE CANNOT WAIT TO VISIT AGAIN !!!

I wonder how much it would cost for me and Foxy to request this kind of accommodations on the boat ??? We will ask the Cruise Director upon our arrival to the port !!
